RESEARCH REGARDING IMPROVEMENT OF SOIL PROPERTIES BY MEANS OF
USING POLYMERS IN EXPERIMENTAL FIELDS

TECHNICAL AND SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATION OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT

The method of reducing the risk of water logging using structural stabilized drained prisma and plant varieties adapted to ecologic conditions is a premiere within reclamation reseach area.

The project wants to transfer the information to the farmers that have water logging affected area and also to enlarge the varities of methods for ammelioration the non productive soils from micro depressions.

TECHNICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPACT

The proposed project will make a technological solution transfer that will be very useful in the areas affected by water logging, improving its productivity. The lack of informations and a wrong application of some technological components will lead to huge losses.
Introducing new agricultural technologies wil results in environment conservation, an actual and main objective of entire social and economic activities. Maintenance of an equilibrium between inputs and outputs of a complex system, such as the soil, lead to an economic stability, eliminating almost totally the risk factors.
Diversifying the technologic solutions needs some investments for complaining the agricultural inventory of the farm (with machines and equipments that assure high workability).
The results of the agricultural researches are not all the time used in practice, this is why it is necessary to extend the technological solutions obtained in the research area in the practical activity. In this order, two models of agricultural system are proposed, with medium inputs for soil conservation:
Variants 1 – with reclamation technology (drainage);
Variants 2 – without reclamation technology.
It is established the following crop rotation:

Year 1      Year 2
5 ha of wheat (drained)     5 ha of wheat (not drained)
5 ha of lucerne (drained) 5 ha of lucerne (not drained)
5 ha of corn (drained)       5 ha of corn (not drained)

Within the project a lot of analysis will be dione in order to present the relation between forage quality and meat quality.

MANAGEMENT OF THE PROJECT

The director of the project has the following targets:

  1. planning and achievement of the activities;
  2. resource administration
  3. presentation of the applicative research elements on different types of activity areas and of the needed analysis;
  4. environmental protection;
  5. information access.
  6. For the accomplishing the proposed objectives it is used human potential that all the time improves its knowledge, keeping an equilibrated ratio between different structures and qualifying levels.
The project partner has research technical resources and an area of 600 ha that represents the demonstrative field. The partner has also the agricultural equipments needed for soil tillage operations.

SCHEME OF THE PROJECT ACCOMPLISHMENT

The accomplishment of the proposed project consists in passing through the following stages:

Stage I – Identifying the experimental plots within the drained demonstrative field where it was built up the drained prism from structural stabilized soil and ballast.

Stage II – Identifying the experimental plots within the soil deep loosening demonstrative field.

Stage III – research carried out in the experimental field for relevating the importance reclamation techniques especially of surface drainage
